Patricius was built in the year 1861 by a wealthy Patricier (merchant). Later the house was sold to the nearby church of Oostwoud and has lived here for years a pastor with his maid. The authentic details, such as the ornamental ceilings and original tiled floor in the conservatory, have been very well preserved.
